I’ve taken SO many photos this month! There’s been a wonderful combination of spectacular snow scenery and the first signs of Spring, meaning there’s been plenty to see and do this month. And it’s not even over, I’m off to Devon tomorrow so check back soon for a Devon special!
I was lucky enough to get a snow day a few weeks ago, conditions were too hazardous for my long commute and I lost no time at all in putting on my hiking books and getting outside..
First I walked through the un-spoilt snow in the water meadows near my home.
Then I went through the resident’s gate for some spectacular snowy Blenheim scenery…
A few days later, I visited my parents, where the snow was even deeper. We walked along the path near their home as the sun sank in the sky.
Somehow their snowdrops survived. I had to dig them out!
When the snow thawed, the first signs of Spring truly began to show, encouraged by the milder weather we’ve had recently. Spring woodland flowers are my favourite of all flowers. Nothing is more hopeful. Just look at these stunning Hellebore and Cyclamen. If I had a garden, it’d be full of these.
